Training Course “Sensing Culture as a Bridge in Youth Work”

Have you heard about the Erasmus + program and the opportunities to participate in a Youth Change or Training for a week, but still have doubts about participating? Then this post is for you. 💁♀️

Lida Litvinova shares her experience with participating in the Training Course “Sensing Culture as a Bridge in Youth Work”, which took place from October 15-23 in Georgia, in the town of Rustavi.

“I recently returned from a wonderful experience in Georgia. I went to a training dedicated to developing relationships between young people from different countries: Poland, Armenia, Georgia, Russia, Ukraine, Macedonia, Italy, Spain, Britain, Turkey and Moldova!
The project was supported by the Erasmus + program, which targets youth and youth workers. Erasmus + projects offer us the opportunity to travel for free, to become friends, to know the culture and language of other people, to develop and develop the society we live in!
The project I participated in was organized for those who work with youth and together with them develops their projects. Most of the project consists of sessions on working methods with young people, making social programs and projects and how to carry them out qualitatively. First, we identified and discussed a problem together, then we processed the information in teams, presented analyzes and developed ideas through our activity. Due to these activities we have trained important traits, such as responsibility, initiative and leadership. Another part of our project was Cultural Evenings – the time when we were able to introduce our country to the whole group, so we tried to find out more interesting things about foreign countries. We tasted the traditional food, together we danced folk dances and sang beautiful songs!
I also had a free day to visit the capital, Tbilisi! Of course, this day was one of the most wonderful, because the city gave us a lot of energy and inspiration, a great impulse to strive soon to return there again! Tbilisi is a wonder located near a river in the middle of the mountains. Architecture and people are not much different from ours. I felt at home.
I made many good friends, I had positive emotions and now I have many memories that I do not want to forget! I can say that this experience is also appreciated by the university, so do not miss the wonderful opportunity and participate in such projects! “
